This is terrible. The thing I wonder about it, though, is do you think that it had a lot of backlash? Do you think everyone realized the implications it had with the term “normal”? Or do you think that people saw it as having a nice message?
Wow, this is so wrong!! like Jordan says it is making the distinction that White is “normal.” It is trying to say that everyone should be treated equal but completely contradicts this message by acknowledging a racial hierarchy, with White being normal and therefore better than the others.
A lot of things…. I guess the viewer is supposed to assume that the white child is the “normal” one, which would mean that “normal” necessarily means white. When is this from?
